I approached Chris McCurdy at Scottsdale Muffler and asked if he could install an exhaust assembly using the drawing you see to the left below.  Chris said without hesitation that it could be done as long as he took a few measurements.  He did so, and then picked out the dual-tip exhaust tip and had it delivered to his shop.  

I did all the measurements of the tip and the available clearance and decided on how high to cut the rear facia as seen in photo's #2 & #3.  Chris and Fred took care of ensuring the bend where the tip attached to the 3" exhaust pipe had enough clearance to make the bend and worked the exhaust pipe and the forward opening of the tip as seen in photo #4.

Fred double checked the alignment of the pipe and the tip several times before adding one of the new style exhaust hangers.  These new hangers are rubber mounted but they have a section enclosed in metal that stiffens the exhaust pipe and you will never see the tip "bounce" up and down like a lot of exhaust systems on both OEM as well as custom applications.

Scottsdale Muffler is one of the best Muffler Shops in the Valley, if not THE best!  I have had eight cars with exhaust systems worked on by them and all have been top notch.  They are very good at making sure all welds are complete around the pipe and muffler[s].  This eliminates any exhaust "popping" from colder air being drawn into the exhaust.  They also are very concerned about alignment of the pipe and the exhaust tip[s].  The materials they use are also the best you can find using aluminized exhaust pipe and excellent pipe bending equipment.  In my opinion, Scottsdale Muffler is the best Muffler shop in Arizona for not only OEM repairs, but custom exhausts no matter what you drive.
